The lessons I learned through Culture Bump sessions not only aided my recent trip to South Africa with the Auburn MBA program, but also gave me a solid foundation of guidelines for how to approach business from a global perspective. Learning how to successfully navigate unique cultural norms and situations is an important part of adapting to working internationally. Acknowledging the bumps along the way allows one to process the emotional impacts of a situation, and make necessary changes. With business continuing to go global, employees must be increasingly comfortable working with others from other countries. Those who can navigate that sometimes difficult dynamic will have an advantage over those who cannot. I feel that Culture Bump has given me that edge.
