One day in April 1998, a woman and her two children were walking by a large pasture. They heard kittens mewing. Upon investigating, they found Phoebe and her two brothers – a few days old and very hungry! Their mother had apparently been killed.
The lady took the three tiny kittens into her home with numerous dogs, cats and several children. Phoebe lived there for two months until she was adopted into her very own home with one other cat, Abigail. Her two brothers were also adopted into their own homes.
She loved to climb (curtains, fences-whatever she could), but was less successful in coming down! She loved to chase shadows or points of light – She was a sweet, loving cat. Later, she and Ike posed for the pictures used to illustrate the Student Workbook in the Toolkit for Culture and Communication.
